IMG - Royal Navyego successfully pitched and won the creative development of the Royal Navy style guide beating off tough competition for the prestigious project. The pitch was run by IMG, the Worlds premier Sports, Entertainment and Media company who are managing the licensing programme on behalf of the Royal Navy. The project ran over a period of four months and entailed in depth brand guidelines, making sense of five hundred years worth of intellectual material, ranging from ships badges to original maps and drawings. The guidelines were developed and compiled on to a DVD for the final presentation and were despatched alongside a ‘brand vision’ document, a twenty page book illustrating inspirational application and usage of the Navy brand. The project has provided IMG with the appropriate and relevant sales tools to bring specialist clients on board, this process has proved extremely successful with several key licensees signed up to working with the Royal Navy brand on their merchandising programmes this year.
