Shermond are boxing clever

The challenge

To rationalise the existing glove packaging ranges into a cohesive, customer focused, easily identifiable, packaging solution. To gain stand out of Shermond Gloves in a crowded market with time poor customers.

Our response

A consultancy session was used to rationalise the branding approach and identify the primary needs of Shermond’s consumers. As such, a brand architecture was formulated to match customers’ two main points of focus: Healthgard, a value market entry point product and Premier which included Protector, Performer and Prestige ranges.

Research and design went into the production of a ‘product information key’. This is a standard icon employed across all glove ranges to provide consistency for hospital usage.

Colour coding was applied to the core glove substrate i.e. nitrile, vinyl, latex – to clearly define these visually for ease of on shelf selection.

This approach was applied across all ranges leading to extensive packaging artwork and production, in excess of 300 individual pieces of artwork!

The whole packaging issue was project managed throughout to meet deadlines and ensure correct supply of designs to the far east production facility.

Thanks to some clear Ego thinking, Shermond were able to deliver their customers the full package!
